About The Position

Inova Children’s is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified Child Neurologist to join their growing pediatric team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nationally recognized children’s health system and contribute to the continued expansion of comprehensive pediatric specialty care throughout Northern Virginia. This full-time position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. The Inova Children’s Neurology team is seeking to add Child Neurologists to a growing team with expertise in fetal-neonatal neurology, epilepsy, neuromuscular, headache, concussion/TBI, neuro-oncology, and hospital care. The Inova Children’s Neurology team collaborates in patient care with Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology, Neuroimaging, Neuro-oncology, Genetics, Psychiatry, Developmental Pediatrics, and Neuropathology.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Child Neurology.
  • Completion of an ACGME Accredited Pediatric Neurology Residency Program
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
  • Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
  • Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services

Nice To Haves

  • Subspecialty expertise in epilepsy, neuromuscular or sleep would be appreciated but not required for this general child neurology position
