About The Position
The Child Development Aide assists the lead teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs. This is a full-time, first-shift position, scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Complete 15 hours of annual training approved by Cabinet for Human Resources standards for Childcare Centers after hire.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of experience in a structured setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist during mealtimes, make meals a pleasant learning experience, and model good health practices.
- Sanitize indoor and outdoor areas as needed to provide a safe environment, and keep rooms neat, cheerful, and interesting.
- Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing the curriculum.
- Assist in providing opportunities to help develop children’s understanding of concepts and ideas.
