About The Position
CWCC is hiring caring, energetic Lead and Assistant Teachers to join its early childhood education team. Teachers create safe, nurturing, and engaging classrooms for children from infancy through school age, using the Creative Curriculum to provide hands-on learning experiences. They support children's development and school readiness, document progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD, communicate with families, collaborate with classroom staff, and maintain welcoming classrooms. Openings are in Huber Heights, Kettering, Springfield, Beavercreek, Centerville, Miamisburg, Fairborn, and Englewood/Union.
Requirements
- Be energetic, supportive, and patient.
- Have a passion for working with young children.
- Be dependable and professional.
- Meet Ohio child care licensing requirements, including background checks.
Nice To Haves
- CDA, associate degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with young children.
- Knowledge of child development.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom for children ages infant through school age.
- Plan and implement hands-on learning experiences using Creative Curriculum.
- Foster children's social, emotional, language, literacy, and school readiness skills.
- Observe children's development and document progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD.
- Partner with families through daily communication and parent conferences.
- Mentor and collaborate with assistant teachers and classroom aides.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
