Child Care Teachers – Multiple Positions Available
About The Position
Kids Country Child Care & Learning Center is seeking Child Care Teachers for multiple positions. This center offers a dynamic environment where teachers bring learning to life through various activities like art, music, science, movement, outdoor adventures, field trips, and special campus events. As part of the Country Manor Campus, children and teachers engage in intergenerational activities with senior living residents. The center features age-specific classrooms, spacious outdoor play areas, an indoor gym, and nearby Val Smith Park. It is an award-winning program focused on fun, creativity, building relationships, and making a difference.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have experience working in a licensed child care center or educational setting
- Meet Minnesota Rule 3 requirements for the applicable Lead Teacher or Assistant Teacher position
- Have completed qualifying college coursework in education or a related field, or be currently working toward a degree
- Be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified
- Demonstrate patience, dependability, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with children
Responsibilities
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Planning or assisting with activities such as art, science, music, movement, games, and outdoor play
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Assisting in classrooms and providing coverage for breaks, vacations, and absences
- Participating in field trips, campus events, and intergenerational activities
- Maintaining required classroom records and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements
- Supervising and supporting classroom staff, when applicable
