About The Position
The Learning Experience - Lake Linganore is opening a new early learning center and is seeking enthusiastic Child Care Teachers for Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and School Age classrooms. This is an opportunity to be part of the founding team and help build an amazing center culture. The role involves creating a nurturing and educational environment, implementing a specific curriculum, and supporting children's development across various domains.
Requirements
- Must meet Maryland Office of Child Care requirements to serve as a Child Care Teacher for at least one age group
- Infant/Toddler candidates must have the required approved early childhood coursework plus 45-hour Infant/Toddler training or another OCC-approved qualifying pathway
- Preschool candidates must meet Maryland's approved early childhood coursework requirements for a Preschool Child Care Teacher
- School Age candidates must meet applicable Maryland School Age Child Care Teacher qualification requirements
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Dependable, nurturing, energetic, and team-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Plan and lead developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Engage children through art, music, movement, literacy, sensory play, STEM, and hands-on exploration
- Support cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional development
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance
- Observe children's development and maintain required documentation
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Follow Maryland Office of Child Care licensing, health, and safety requirements
