Child Care substitute
About The Position
Columbia Child Development Program (CCDP) is seeking dependable, caring day-to-day Child Care Substitutes at its Bloomsburg location. Substitutes fill in when regular staff are absent or additional classroom support is needed, working with children from infancy through age 12 to help maintain a safe, nurturing, and fun learning environment. The position requires no lesson planning; substitutes engage with children and support classroom activities across different age groups and classrooms. This is flexible, as-needed work without a full-time commitment. Hours depend on program staffing needs, and regular or guaranteed hours are not available. The opportunity may suit people seeking extra income, those returning to the workforce, or semi-retirees who enjoy working with children.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience working with children.
- Ability to obtain all required child care clearances and a health physical.
- Warm, patient, dependable approach and enjoyment of working with children of all ages.
- Flexibility, a positive attitude, and willingness to assist wherever needed.
Responsibilities
