About The Position

The Child Care Specialist provides and oversees implementation of the curriculum for Child Care Center staff and provides resources for Child Care Providers and parents. The position serves as the liaison with Plant Engineering for upkeep of buildings and grounds. It reports to the Director/Child Care Center and the Child Care Assistant Director, and supervises Child Care Providers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of the 45-hour Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Introductory Child Care Training course, including passing the competency examination.
• A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential issued by DCF or a bachelor's degree in a field related to Child Development.
• At least two years of job-related experience.
• CDA credential issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or Child Development.
• Three or more years of job-related experience.
