About The Position

BrightPath Kids is seeking a full-time Lead Teacher to work alongside teachers and families, providing children with a home-away-from-home experience according to NAEYC guidelines. The position works with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom and involves creating developmentally appropriate learning experiences, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and partnering with families to support each child’s care and education. The role offers regular operating hours with no evenings or weekends.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Career Pathway Level 3, or a bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a licensed child care facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that allows children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans that provide the best care and education for their children.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
