About The Position

Big Blue Marble Academy is hiring an Infant Assistant Teacher at Park Crossing. The role supports the Lead Teacher in facilitating daily activities and keeping the classroom running smoothly, partners with families to nurture and care for their children, documents children’s milestones using electronic daily tracking, and follows enhanced safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe classroom. The position is part of a team-focused, inclusive work community that offers on-the-job training and career development opportunities, including a pathway from Assistant Teacher to Center Director. Employment is contingent on successfully completing the background check, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding processes. Employment is at-will.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Demonstrated experience working with children.
Ability to stand for six to eight hours daily and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend while working with children.
Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
Successful completion of the background check, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding processes.

Nice To Haves

Child care, daycare, or preschool experience preferred.
Early childhood coursework, a CDA, or a degree preferred.
Tech-savvy skills for electronic daily tracking.

Responsibilities

Visually supervise children at all times.
