Child Care Assistant Teacher Infant
About The Position
BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher Infant at its Farmington center. The assistant teacher works side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in care, in accordance with NAEYC guidelines. The role supervises and supports children ages 6 weeks to 12 years and assists with classroom instruction and activities. Classroom experience is not required; paid training on classroom procedures is provided. The schedule is 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with no evenings or weekends. The stated pay range is $16.94 to $18.50 per hour. BrightPath Kids is part of the Busy Bees global childcare community and reports a community of over 5,000 employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized.
- Ability to work within regular operating hours.
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
- Assist teachers with instruction in the classroom.
- Decorate the inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
- Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
- Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
