About The Position

LADACIN is seeking a compassionate, energetic Child Care Group Leader for its licensed Child Care Program. The program provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. The Group Leader creates a safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom environment while supporting each child's individual needs and development across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive areas. This is a full-time position, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with young children required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Must pass all required background checks and meet New Jersey Office of Licensing requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or teaching certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Experience working with children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Supervise and mentor classroom assistants while promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Develop lesson plans and maintain classroom documentation in accordance with licensing requirements.
• Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress.
• Build positive relationships with families and maintain open communication regarding children's progress and daily activities.
• Ensure compliance with Office of Licensing regulations and agency policies.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to provide high-quality childcare services.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
