About The Position

Rite of Passage is hiring a Group Leader at Uta Halee Academy in Omaha, Nebraska. Uta Halee Academy is a female-specific residential program that supports young women in building productive and meaningful futures through education, skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment. The facility includes residential student dormitories, on-site schooling, a dining hall, and extracurricular opportunities. The Group Leader is operationally responsible for the safety, care, and around-the-clock supervision of students, through the work of Senior Coach Counselors, Coach Counselors, and Night Coach Counselors. The role includes supervisory responsibilities that may involve evaluating employee performance, rewarding or disciplining employees, and directing staff. The Group Leader directs and supervises students and staff to meet service expectations and also performs direct-care hours with at-risk youth.

Requirements

External applicants must have at least 60 hours of college education and/or military experience.
At least one year of experience in a supervisory role.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
Must pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety, care, and around-the-clock supervision of students.
Direct and supervise Senior Coach Counselors, Coach Counselors, and Night Coach Counselors.
Direct and supervise students and staff to meet service expectations.
May participate in evaluating employee performance and making decisions about rewards or discipline.
Provide direct care to at-risk youth and help create a supportive environment that addresses their needs.
