About The Position

Busy Bees is seeking a Child Care Center Director for its Phoenix Metro Area team. The director works alongside teachers, children, and families to provide a supportive care environment. The role oversees the center’s daily operations, staff, policies, child safety, environmental health and hygiene, and compliance with state licensing and regulations. It also includes administrative responsibilities and communication with parents and guardians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to supervise others.
• Ability to work independently with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with children and families.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operation of the center, including staff recruitment and development, policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health and hygiene, and state licensing.
• Ensure that staff understand the objectives and expectations for each classroom.
• Handle administrative tasks, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understand and enforce all state regulations within the building.
• Implement and ensure completion of staff training.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
