About The Position

The Child Care Attendant supports VASA Fitness's KidCare program by providing safe, attentive, and engaging care for children while their parents work out. The role helps families feel confident by maintaining a clean, welcoming, and well-run space, following safety practices, and offering meaningful, age-appropriate activities.

Shifts are available during KidCare operating hours: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The base rate is $11.40 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Friendly, engaging, and dependable presence.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized space.
• Ability to adapt and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for creating positive experiences for children and families.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children in childcare, education, youth programs, or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive, and engaging care for children in the KidCare program.
• Follow check-in and check-out procedures to ensure child safety.
• Engage children in fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming KidCare space.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with required background checks, safety scans, and child care standards.
• Support a positive team culture through teamwork, reliability, and communication.
• Help families feel confident, supported, and eager to return.
