About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher at its Solvay, New York center. The role works side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home for children in care, ages 6 weeks through 12 years. Paid training on classroom procedures is provided, and the position has no evening or weekend work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage their participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
