About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher at its Maryvale, New York center. The role supports teachers and families in providing a home-away-from-home environment for infants, following NAEYC guidelines. No classroom experience is required; paid training on classroom procedures is provided. The pay range is $16.00–$18.00 per hour. The position has no evening or weekend work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of infants in care.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms, inside and outside, as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that allows children to grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
