About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring Associate Teachers to work with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers at its child care centers in Purchase, New York. The position supports children’s learning and care through hands-on activities, communication with families, and maintaining a safe, clean classroom. Teachers may provide coverage in different classrooms, age groups, or nearby locations as needed. This is an in-person role in an early education/preschool child care center.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass required state and company background checks.
• Meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
• Comply with applicable immunization, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training requirements.
• Meet the physical demands of the position, including frequently lifting, carrying, or holding children weighing 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally lifting, carrying, or holding more than 40 pounds; demonstrating full range of motion; responding to unexpected situations or emergencies; and maintaining mental and physical alertness.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings.
• A CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities that meet children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents and share their child’s daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following required procedures and guidelines.
• Provide teaching coverage in any classroom or age group where needed across a center or nearby locations.
• Provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures, and guidance, and applicable laws and regulations.
