Under the supervision of the Director of Child & Adolescent Services, this position is responsible for the delivery of clinical services and community supports to children and adolescents with severe and persistent mental illness, as defined by the State authority, Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Services will be provided according to the Texas Resiliency and Recovery Model and must conform to the standards set forth by the HHSC Performance Contract, Community Service Standards, Medicaid, and Helen Farabee Centers’ policies and procedures. This position requires an aptitude for working with severely mentally ill and often impoverished people, and for seeing this work as a clinical specialty in which we take considerable pride. HFC incorporates principles of Trauma Informed Care throughout the agency, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and a safe and respectful environment for all individuals served and staff.
