About The Position

Banyan Software is building a talent community for ongoing and future Chief Product and Technology Officer opportunities across its portfolio companies. This is not an active requisition. A successful candidate would join a portfolio company directly as a core member of its leadership team, often reporting to the CEO, and serve as the single accountable leader for product and technology at a vertical SaaS business. The CPTO owns product direction, technology strategy, product and engineering organizations, and platform architecture. The role calls for setting product direction through customer and market insight, owning the technical foundation, leading the shift to AI-native product and engineering, and building an organization that can scale while remaining adaptable. The platform serves a specialized industry and provides mission-critical software, so reliability, customer trust, and the strategic value of data are central. The ideal leader combines customer, product, architecture, team, and business perspectives; has led product-led growth in B2B SaaS; uses AI tools in daily work and has changed how teams build and ship with AI; and has led meaningful product and technology transformation. Product and architecture decisions should connect to measurable business outcomes, and the leader should be able to represent product and technology strategy in executive, board, customer, and sales conversations. Banyan describes its operating-company environment as permanent ownership with autonomy, capital, shared services, operating-partner support, a decentralized culture, continuity for company brands and teams, and a peer network of portfolio-company product and technology leaders.
