About The Position

Delaware Hospice is actively seeking a full-time Chief Operating Officer. The Chief Operating Officer is a key strategic partner to the President & CEO and is responsible for leading and optimizing the organization’s operational, technological, and business growth functions. The role oversees Hospice Operations, Palliative/GUIDE Programs, Sales & Business Development, and Information Technology, ensuring strong alignment with mission, strategy, and financial goals. Now also providing care in Pennsylvania; southern Chester and Delaware counties. We offered healthcare services through our Delaware Hospice, Delaware Palliative, Katybug, Bereavement, and New Hope programs at the Delaware Hospice Center, in private homes, or acute and long term care facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare operations, preferably including post‑acute or hospice
  • Proven experience in managing key organization functional areas
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing within all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategic direction and supporting implementation
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Ability to work as part of a team to reach shared goals
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and accurate
  • Must be able to travel to, enter, and function in the workplace
  • Must have sensory abilities to complete work assignments, communicate with internal and external customers and to complete the reporting and follow-up documentation responsibilities of the job

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or similar)
  • Excellent computer skills preferred
