Chief of Staff, Founder's Office

FlowGen Labs•San Francisco, CA
•$150,000 - $250,000•Onsite

About The Position

FlowGen Labs is seeking a Chief of Staff to work directly with the founders and turn the company’s highest-priority goals into outcomes. The role creates structure from ambiguity, connects decisions across engineering, deployments, sales, and operations, and owns important work as the company scales. It combines company strategy with hands-on operational detail, including identifying constraints and staying accountable through resolution. The Chief of Staff will drive cross-functional initiatives, own strategic projects from problem framing through execution and measurement, and establish the company’s operating cadence. The role also involves building practical systems, using AI tools to automate repetitive work, and taking ownership of emerging problems until a repeatable approach can be handed off as the team grows. This is a high-ownership operating role, not an executive assistant role. FlowGen Labs builds context-aware AI agents that operate in customized SAP environments, using company ontology, live operational data, and procedures to run complex workflows autonomously. The company serves Fortune 500 customers across several industries and brings together AI and SAP talent from DeepMind, SAP, Meta AI, and Amazon AGI Labs. The position is in person in the San Francisco Bay Area. Full-time total compensation is $150,000–$250,000 per year, including base salary and equity; the final package depends on experience and scope. Visa support and sponsorship are available.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of full-time experience in a demanding environment, such as top consulting, banking, PE/VC, a high-growth startup, or a venture founded by the candidate.
  • A track record of taking on responsibilities beyond the role’s requirements and earning greater trust.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability and strong business judgment, including the ability to investigate unfamiliar situations and turn ambiguity into concrete plans.
  • Strong analytical instincts and comfort building financial models, working with messy data, and translating analysis into decisions.
  • Ownership mentality, crisp communication, comfort making decisions with 80 percent of the information, and reliable follow-through on details.
  • Willingness to handle both high-level and small operational tasks, such as writing a board memo and fixing an onboarding spreadsheet.
  • Ability to earn trust and align business and technical teams, with discretion around confidential company information.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools and genuine curiosity about enterprise AI, agentic workflows, and how large companies operate.

Responsibilities

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives across hiring, customer delivery, go-to-market, and internal operations; surface risks, resolve dependencies, and keep work moving.
  • Own strategic projects end to end, from framing problems and evaluating options through execution and measuring results.
  • Build the company’s operating cadence, including clear priorities, accountable owners, useful metrics, and consistent follow-through on decisions.
  • Act as an extension of the founders, driving high-impact initiatives across the company from idea through execution.
  • Build practical systems and use AI tools to automate repetitive work so the team can focus on product and customer outcomes.
  • Take ownership of emerging problems without an existing owner, develop a repeatable approach, and hand it off as the team grows.

Benefits

  • Visa support and sponsorship available
  • Equity included in total compensation
