BizOps, Founder's Office

Rox Data Corp•San Francisco, CA
•$180,000 - $220,000•Onsite

About The Position

Rox is an AI-native B2B revenue intelligence company and a Series A startup that has grown from under 60 people to nearly 130 in seven months. The Founder's Office team is dedicated to scaling the founder and CEO. This role is for a full-time operator who will report directly to the CEO and serve as their right-hand resource for the next two years. The primary goal of this position is to amplify the CEO's time, attention, and decision-making capabilities. While the role may eventually support other executives, its initial focus is solely on supporting the CEO. This position is based in the San Francisco office and requires a five-day-a-week in-office presence. As the company scales, more responsibilities, including customer interactions, hiring, investor relations, and strategic decision-making, will pass through the CEO. This role aims to systematize these interactions through effective meeting management, preparation, and follow-through, establishing an operating cadence for the company. It is not an executive assistant or strategy deck role, but rather an operator position for individuals seeking a direct view into the building of a fast-scaling company, with success measured by the CEO's increased productivity.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of operational experience in a hyper-growth, fast-scaling startup or tech company.
  • A strong track record of standout performance at previous educational institutions, firms, and companies.
  • An operator or player-first mentality: proactively defining and building processes rather than waiting for direction, and transforming vague requests into actionable plans and results.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Possess strong judgment and discretion, understanding the CEO's priorities and knowing what can wait or should remain confidential.
  • Excellent written communication skills, capable of producing clear and concise briefs, plans, and follow-ups that enable quick action.
  • A high-impact, outlier mindset, seeking leverage and not being constrained by title or scope.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ownership, speed, craftsmanship, and learning velocity.
  • A genuine interest in Rox specifically, including having done homework on the product and mission.
  • Commitment to staying in this role for the next two years to ensure continuity for the CEO.

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA.
  • A background in investment banking or consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Own the CEO's operating rhythm: calendar strategy, weekly priorities, and aligning time allocation with strategic goals.
  • Manage all logistics end-to-end for travel, customer meetings, investor meetings, board meetings, offsites, and events, ensuring nothing is missed.
  • Prepare the CEO for all significant meetings by providing context, briefs, pre-reads, and clearly defined objectives.
  • Drive follow-through on decisions by capturing action items and owners, chasing commitments, and ensuring closure without prompting.
  • Build and manage the company's operating cadence with the CEO, including leadership meetings, planning cycles, goal setting, and business reviews.
  • Oversee planning workstreams such as quarterly and annual planning, goal tracking, and the associated documentation.
  • Undertake special projects assigned by the CEO, rapidly scoping them and delivering results independently.
  • Act as a trusted extension of the CEO in interactions with the leadership team, customers, and partners, exercising sound judgment on handling issues or escalating them.
  • Develop lightweight systems and automations using tools like Slack, Notion, and AI-native workflows to streamline recurring tasks and reduce reliance on direct involvement.
  • Engage directly with the Rox product through regular dogfooding to gain a deep understanding and effectively communicate the company's mission.
