About The Position

Cobalt ID is building the business identity infrastructure for the financial internet. While others focus on consumers, we separate real companies from synthetic ones. With AI accelerating fraud rings and shell companies at global scale, distinguishing a legitimate business from a sophisticated fraudster is now one of the hardest problems in fintech. We’re mapping 100M+ businesses and counting to expose hidden financial crime networks and ensure real businesses are never left out of the financial ecosystem. As Chief of Staff, you’ll partner directly with the CEO and drive execution across Cobalt’s highest-priority initiatives. This is a high-trust operator role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and owns critical initiatives end-to-end. Ideal for someone who wants broad exposure to company-building and the chance to operate at the center of a fast-moving startup.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally with experience in product and/or growth
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, learn quickly, and execute independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication - you’re a persuasive storyteller
  • A passion for rapidly adopting and operationalizing bleeding-edge AI tools
  • Deep excitement for impossibly hard problems and early-stage ambiguity
  • A founder’s mindset: you embrace ownership, roll up your sleeves to execute, and operate well without a playbook

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in product management, UX thinking, and a strong analytical foundation
  • Experience building workflows with AI and GTM tools like Claude code, Attio, and Clay
  • Experience with enterprise sales, building or managing a CRM, and getting creative about growth initiatives
  • You’re keen to be a founder one day, but also keen to grow with the company - this role is the ultimate training ground.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO on product strategy, roadmap shaping, and identifying growth opportunities for the company
  • Drive GTM initiatives: enterprise pilots, partnerships, pricing experiments, and sales process design
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to refine product requirements and measure impact
  • Support hiring efforts, investor communications, and strategic narrative building
