•$185,000 - $275,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Ambience is hiring a Chief of Staff to lead the Office of the President (OOTP) and serve as the operating partner to its President and Co-Founder. The OOTP is a small, high-trust team working on strategic priorities including health system and technology platform partnerships, ecosystem strategy, adjacent markets, and thought leadership. The Chief of Staff will lead a team of about four, partner with recruiting to build the team, and work closely with the President—roughly 20 hours a week—becoming an extension of how he thinks and operates and, over time, representing him in meetings when needed. The role requires working three days a week from the San Francisco office. The Chief of Staff will run the OOTP as an operating unit, set priorities and OKRs, lead and develop the team, drive high-stakes partnerships, surface insights and issues for the President, and produce written materials including memos, board materials, keynotes, and decision documents. The role will also help scale the company-wide knowledge system and establish AI-first operating practices for the OOTP, while taking ambiguous, cross-functional problems from initial framing through resolution. Ambience describes its culture as high-ownership and high-trust, with an emphasis on decisive execution, candor, positivity, deep thought, feedback, and continuous growth. The company builds AI technology for healthcare and says its mission is to reduce clinicians’ administrative burden and improve health system outcomes.
