Chief of Staff

Ownership WorksNew York, NY
$140,000 - $160,000Hybrid

About The Position

Ownership Works is seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to play a central role in shaping a fast-growing, high-impact organization. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the center of a mission-driven organization, working alongside a powerful network of leading companies, investors, and institutions committed to redefining how value is shared in the economy. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Chief of Staff will partner closely with senior leadership to drive the organization’s most critical priorities, ensuring that strategy is clear, execution is rigorous, and the leadership team is operating at its highest potential. You will serve as a trusted thought partner, helping frame priorities and drive strategy by translating it into action while strengthening alignment across a highly collaborative team. This role is well-suited for someone who is an exceptionally strong operator and structured thinker; someone who brings clarity to ambiguity, drives complex work forward, and is equally comfortable stepping back to reinforce strategy or leaning in to execute. You build trust quickly with senior stakeholders, communicate clearly, and take ownership of outcomes, ensuring that the most important priorities move forward with focus and discipline. This role is best suited for a high-performing operator who is excited to take on significant responsibility and contribute to strategic decision-making, with the potential to grow into a broader leadership role over time. This is a rare and compelling opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to pair strategic thinking with hands-on execution, while working on a mission that matters.

  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize information and data into clear insights and contribute to strategic decision-making (required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing clear, compelling materials for senior leaders and boards (required).
