About The Position

Pallet is seeking a Chief of Staff to join their high-growth startup. This role will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for driving growth by managing key relationships with customers, investors, partners, and new markets. The Chief of Staff will be expected to generate tangible outcomes such as meetings, referrals, partnerships, and new lanes within their first 90 days. This is a hands-on role focused on accelerating growth rather than a strategy-deck position.

Requirements

  • 3–8 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, VC, or Corp Dev function at a high-M&A-velocity company.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships from scratch with senior executives, investors, and board-level operators.
  • The polish and pace to represent the CEO in any setting, including board meetings, partner dinners, LP intros, and cold executive calls.
  • A track record of generating tangible outcomes such as pipeline, deals, partnerships, advisors, or new markets.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity, changing priorities, and persistence in the face of rejection.

Responsibilities

  • Own the relationships with Pallet's cap table (General Catalyst, Bessemer, Bain Capital Ventures, Activant) and leverage them for portfolio-company intros, hiring leads, design partners, and market signal.
  • Build a system to turn happy Fortune 1000 customers into sources of referrals within their peer group.
  • Establish Pallet's advisory board from scratch, including identifying, recruiting, and onboarding 5-10 operators and industry leaders.
  • Develop working relationships with PE firms and VCs whose portfolios concentrate Pallet's buyer base to convert coverage into pipeline.
  • Partner with the CEO to identify and enter adjacent verticals and new regions, including opportunity sizing, finding design partners, and building the go-to-market strategy.
  • Own relationships with AI labs, hyperscalers, and other ecosystem partners to gain access to the right buyers and enable co-sell, co-marketing, and distribution opportunities.
  • Build the sequencing, messaging, and targeting necessary to scale growth initiatives beyond a single individual.
  • Identify and communicate issues with the team, processes, or product story directly and plainly.
