Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in the biological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation; and five years of professional environmental protection experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities across energy, climate, and financing programs to ensure consistent work planning and timely progress
  • Approve reports, materials, and policy documents on behalf of the Director while ensuring accuracy and alignment with standards
  • Research complex operational challenges and develop solutions that support program goals and improve performance
  • Collaborate with senior officials, program staff, and external partners to advance shared initiatives and resolve issues
  • Represent the Director in cross departmental meetings and guide efforts that address statewide priorities
  • Interpret laws, regulations, and procedures while helping staff apply requirements in daily operations
