Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is accredited by The Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency. https://www.saintfrancisbartlett.com/ Position Summary The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) serves as the senior nursing executive, responsible for the strategic direction, quality, and operational performance of all nursing and designated patient care services. This role provides 24/7 leadership accountability for: Clinical quality and patient safety Nursing workforce performance and engagement Regulatory compliance and evidence-based practice Resource and financial management The CNO partners with executive leadership, the medical staff, and the governing board to advance organizational strategy and ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience (ACNO, Director, or equivalent) in a complex hospital setting
• Demonstrated success in clinical operations, quality improvement, and workforce leadership
• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing or related field required
• Active RN license required
• Strong clinical and financial acumen
• Proven ability to lead change and improve outcomes
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience in recruitment, retention, and talent development
• Knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and compliance standards
• Selected candidate will be required to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.

• Optimize staffing models based on acuity and patient needs
• Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining quality
• Build strong partnerships with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders

• Engage staff in shared governance and decision-making
• Support adoption and optimization of clinical technologies and EMR systems
• Leverage data and analytics to improve care delivery and outcomes
