About The Position

Chief Marketing Officer — Filevine New York City | Chicago | San Francisco | Salt Lake City Series E | B2B SaaS | Legal Technology About Filevine Filevine is a high-growth, category-defining B2B SaaS company serving sophisticated enterprise customers. Our platform sits at the center of a major industry transformation driven by AI, automation, and workflow innovation. We are respected. We are growing and well funded. But we are not yet the name we intend to be. This role is about changing that. The Opportunity We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to elevate and transform our brand, narrative, and market presence — while driving measurable commercial impact. This is not a caretaker role. This is not a maintenance role. This is a brand elevation and market leadership role. We need a leader with the taste, conviction, and operational discipline to refine our positioning, unify our story, and push the brand confidently into the enterprise spotlight. The right person understands that brand is strategy — and that great marketing must drive pipeline, enable sales, and accelerate enterprise deal cycles. This role reports directly to the CEO and carries full executive sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience
  • 5+ years as a senior marketing executive in B2B SaaS
  • Demonstrated experience leading a meaningful brand elevation or transformation
  • Deep enterprise product marketing expertise — positioning, GTM strategy, and sales enablement
  • Proven ability to drive pipeline growth while strengthening brand perception
  • Exceptional storytelling ability across keynotes, campaigns, narrative frameworks, and executive conversations
  • Strong creative judgment and the confidence to maintain high standards
  • Experience managing and upgrading marketing organizations
  • High tolerance for debate, feedback, and fast iteration
  • Regular in-person engagement with the executive team, customers, and prospects is expected and non-negotiable.

Nice To Haves

  • A performance-marketing-only operator
  • A brand visionary with no commercial rigor
  • A caretaker of existing systems
  • We are looking for a builder — someone who has pushed a software brand into the enterprise spotlight and can clearly articulate how they did it.

Responsibilities

  • Refine and strengthen the company's positioning, narrative, and messaging architecture
  • Elevate visual and editorial standards across every customer-facing touchpoint
  • Ensure the brand reflects enterprise credibility, sophistication, and category leadership
  • Establish a clear, differentiated point of view in a competitive, AI-accelerating market
  • Build marketing programs that generate high-quality pipeline and directly support Sales and SDR teams
  • Strengthen alignment across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Success
  • Improve how marketing supports long enterprise buying cycles and multi-stakeholder deals
  • Ensure brand investment translates into measurable commercial outcomes
  • Define who each product is for, why it wins, and how it should be positioned
  • Lead go-to-market strategy, launch execution, and competitive intelligence
  • Deliver world-class sales enablement materials that move enterprise buyers
  • Identify the right channels, partnerships, events, podcasts, and media platforms to reach executive buyers
  • Build an authoritative content and editorial engine that earns attention and trust
  • Shape the narrative in the industry rather than reacting to it
  • Assess the current marketing organization with clarity and decisiveness
  • Upgrade talent where needed and recruit exceptional marketers
  • Build a high-performance culture rooted in creative excellence and accountability
  • Leverage external agencies strategically while maintaining strong internal brand ownership
