Apex Wheels is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who is a genuine motorsports enthusiast and understands the automotive enthusiast community. The CMO will report to the CEO and be responsible for ensuring marketing spend drives revenue growth, brand differentiation, and customer appreciation. This role leads all marketing functions including Brand, Creative, Audience Growth, eCommerce, and paid media. The ideal candidate will build systems that drive efficiency and accountability, and clearly demonstrate marketing's impact on the business. Success requires a leader who can establish focus, make deliberate tradeoffs, and operate with clear priorities, strong ownership, and speed to execution. The CMO must understand the problem of "fashion wheels" flooding the market and be able to articulate Apex's "Real Performance" message. This role requires meaningful experience in senior marketing leadership with direct accountability for revenue, budget allocation, and performance outcomes, with a focus on P&L responsibility and a strong aversion to vanity metrics. Experience leading teams through organizational change is crucial, as is fluency in modern marketing performance and a comfort operating in an eCommerce-driven environment. Experience in founder-led businesses is valued over experience in highly structured or agency-heavy environments. This role is not for candidates who cannot connect decisions to business outcomes.
