This position assists a high-level state official by performing complex administrative and supportive tasks crucial for the implementation and administration of major projects and programs that affect all state government departments and agencies. The role involves overseeing agency files and records, analyzing operational procedures, preparing reports, handling public relations duties, coordinating inter-agency work flow, responding to inquiries, and attending meetings on behalf of a superior. The supplemental information indicates the role will specifically assist the Assistant Director, Finance and Contract Management with budget development, monitoring, and management, coordination of the Cost Allocation Plan, and federal funding management including budget development, expenditure tracking, financial reporting, Medicaid administration, and auditing. Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills, proficiency in Excel, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, time management, excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), the ability to develop and monitor work processes, flexibility, meet deadlines, and develop process improvements.
