The Chief Growth Officer is responsible for establishing and executing an enterprise growth strategy that aligns market competitiveness, financial performance, and operational readiness. This leader ensures the organization wins business because its value proposition is compelling and credible, not because of legacy position or short term concessions. The CGO partners closely with the CEO, CFO, and Executive Leadership Team to bring market backed insight into growth, pricing, product investment, and deal decisions, while building organizational confidence and consistency in how the company competes. Candidates applying to this position must live within driving distance of the Omaha, Nebraska metro. This position will require 4+ days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in business administration or other related degree and 12+ years’ experience overseeing an operations function at a similar type company.
  • The ability to drive results, not only for operational areas but for the entire company as part of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.
  • Should possess strategic thinking skills, superior problem-solving abilities, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work schedule and meet deadlines and effectively delegate responsibilities and work assignments.
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
  • The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.

Responsibilities

  • Set and lead an enterprise-wide growth strategy aligned with revenue, membership, margin, and brand objectives
  • Drive growth across all major lines of business with a focus on portfolio balance rather than isolated wins
  • Apply disciplined judgment to opportunity selection, including declining business that is financially or operationally misaligned
  • Translate external market dynamics into clear internal growth priorities and guidance
  • Serve as a senior executive representative with priority broker and consultant partners
  • Build and sustain executive level relationships with key employer customers
  • Personally engage in a targeted set of strategically important customer and broker relationships
  • Represent the organization in the Nebraska business and civic community as an enterprise leader
  • Establish enterprise sales strategy and performance expectations across market segments
  • Provide executive involvement in complex, high value, or strategically sensitive opportunities
  • Partner with Finance and Underwriting on deal evaluation, pricing decisions, and formal deal governance
  • Ensure sales execution aligns with enterprise growth priorities and risk tolerance
  • Contribute to enterprise product portfolio and pricing strategy
  • Bring market backed insight into decisions regarding product investment, redesign, or exit
  • Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align strategy and execution
  • Ensure go to market strategies reflect real customer demand and competitive alternatives
  • Lead the development of an enterprise-wide account management and retention strategy
  • Establish standards for account segmentation, coverage models, and escalation paths
  • Elevate executive level engagement with top employer accounts
  • Coach senior leaders to shift account management from transactional service to strategic partnership
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on growth and market dynamics
  • Bring enterprise level judgment and long-term perspective to executive decision making
  • Model leadership behaviors aligned with organizational values and accountability expectations
