Requirements

  • Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Board Certified CRNA in good standing
  • Eligible for Texas state medical licensure or currently licensed in Texas
  • Proficiency in administering spinals, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks (additional training available)
  • Comfortable working in an autonomous anesthesia practice setting
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality anesthesia care

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or Chief CRNA experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision for the anesthesia department as Chief CRNA
  • Administer general anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks for diverse surgical cases
  • Oversee anesthesia protocols, quality assurance, and departmental best practices
  • Participate in home call rotation to ensure continuity of patient care
  • Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Manage anesthesia staffing, scheduling, and workflow optimization
  • Mentor and develop anesthesia team members in clinical and professional growth
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies
  • Practice autonomously in a supportive medical environment
