Albany Med Health System (AMHS) is undergoing a significant transformation with its First Choice 2030 agenda, aiming to become the region's leading academic health system. The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) is a pivotal executive role responsible for driving this transformation by ensuring system-wide clinical operations are aligned, integrated, measurable, and geared towards long-term excellence. This role is crucial in shaping and accelerating an integrated, system-wide model of care that unifies various healthcare professionals and teams across the enterprise. The CCO will also spearhead innovative programs for population and community health, optimize health outcomes, improve services, and manage costs. Additionally, the CCO will oversee clinical aspects of new insurance products, direct-to-employer services, manage care for self-insured employees, lead clinical leadership development, and coordinate system-wide quality and safety initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CCO collaborates closely with other senior executives to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, efficient, patient-centered, and value-driven care across all settings, including inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, virtual, and post-acute care.
