About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and engaging Chess Instructor to lead after-school chess classes for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The instructor will be responsible for teaching chess fundamentals and strategies in a fun and supportive environment. Classes are held on Tuesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at a site located in Phoenix, AZ 85012, running from August 18th to September 22nd. Compensation is $75 per hour of class.
Requirements
- Proficiency in chess instruction.
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or after-school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to manage a classroom of young students.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an after-school instructor.
- Knowledge of different chess teaching methodologies.
Responsibilities
