About The Position
Turing is seeking Chemistry Experts for remote contract assignments supporting frontier AI labs. Experts use their chemistry knowledge to help fine-tune large language models, design problems, assess AI solutions, and work with researchers to build and refine benchmarks. Assignments have defined start and end dates and may involve up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $100+ per hour, depending on the role and candidate expertise. No AI experience is required. Shortlisted candidates complete an evaluation before selection. Requirements
- Be pursuing or have completed a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Demonstrate strong chemistry reasoning and problem-solving skills across advanced domains.
- Communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and provide structured feedback.
Responsibilities
- Design advanced chemistry problems to test AI performance, including problems in areas such as chemical engineering and biochemistry.
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions using rigorous logic.
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and quality of reasoning.
- Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate- through PhD-level chemistry topics.
