Chemistry Expert
About The Position
Turing is seeking Chemistry Experts for fully remote contract assignments supporting leading AI labs. Experts will use their chemistry knowledge to help fine-tune large language models, assess AI performance, and collaborate with researchers to develop and refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through PhD-level chemistry topics. Assignments have defined start and end dates and may be up to 40 hours per week. Pay is $100+ per hour, depending on the role and candidate expertise. Shortlisted candidates must complete an evaluation before selection. No prior AI experience is required.
Requirements
- Pursuing or completed PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong chemistry reasoning and problem-solving skills across advanced domains.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and provide structured feedback.
Responsibilities
- Design advanced chemistry problems to test AI performance, including in areas such as chemical engineering and biochemistry.
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with rigorous logic.
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and quality of reasoning.
- Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate to PhD-level chemistry topics.
