About The Position
Help fine-tune large language models using chemistry expertise. Design problems to evaluate AI performance, create rigorous step-by-step solutions, assess AI responses, and collaborate with researchers to develop and refine benchmarks across chemistry topics from undergraduate to PhD level. This is a fully remote contract role with flexible weekly hours and defined start and end dates, offering up to 40 hours per week. Pay is $100+/hour, depending on the role and candidate expertise. Shortlisted candidates complete an evaluation before selection. No AI experience is required.
Requirements
- Pursuing or completed PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong chemistry reasoning and problem-solving skills across advanced domains.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and provide structured feedback.
Responsibilities
- Design advanced chemistry problems to test AI performance, including in areas such as chemical engineering and biochemistry.
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with rigorous logic.
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and quality of reasoning.
- Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate- to PhD-level chemistry topics.
