About The Position
Solenis is seeking a Chemical Mixer for its facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role manufactures products according to company standards and manages and maintains assets in the assigned area, including equipment and controls, operating supplies, inventory, and coworkers. The position also contributes to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a batch manufacturing environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally move drums up to 400 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Clean, operate, and maintain equipment in the assigned area, including totes, pumps, mixing vessels, and raw material lines.
- Read, interpret, and carry out specifications from work orders.
- Manufacture batches based on work orders.
- Complete detailed paperwork to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Plan and perform batch setup and changeover processes.
- Pour and weigh raw materials as needed.
- Handle hazardous waste and control waste streams and flow.
- Keep the work area clean and free of safety hazards.
- Perform other related duties as required.
