About The Position

Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Chef Teacher to lead hands-on cooking classes for children aged 5-14 at Gilbert Public Schools. This role involves teaching fun, one-hour classes that introduce new ingredients, cooking techniques, nutrition, and global cultures, while fostering confidence in the kitchen. The company provides training, recipes, equipment, and support. Responsibilities include shopping for ingredients, preparing the classroom, communicating with the Admin Team, and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.

Requirements

• Experience teaching or coaching kids.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Enjoy creating a fun learning environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must have (or be willing to obtain) a ServSafe Food Handler Certificate.
• Must have (or be willing to obtain) an Arizona Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Applicants must live or work within 15 minutes of the posted ZIP code.
• All employees must undergo a fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach fun, one-hour cooking classes for kids ages 5–14 using company recipes and curriculum.
• Introduce new ingredients, cooking techniques, nutrition, and cultures from around the world.
• Build student confidence in the kitchen.
• Shop for class ingredients.
• Prepare the classroom for each session.
• Communicate with the Admin Team by phone and text.
• Help create a safe, engaging experience for every student.
