About The Position

Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking enthusiastic part-time Chef Instructors in the Superior area to teach kids about cooking, nutrition, and healthy eating habits. This role offers a flexible schedule with classes held weekdays between 2-5 PM, providing a fun and meaningful part-time job. The company provides all necessary tools, training, and recipes, fostering a supportive team environment and a fun atmosphere for creating hands-on learning experiences for children aged 3-18.

Requirements

• Available to teach 1-hour classes (on campus 90+ mins) at least 2 days a week between 2-5 PM, Mondays- Thursdays.
• Experienced in working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids.
• Must arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time.
• Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
• Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Lift up to 30 lbs to store and transport materials.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.
• All employees must undergo a fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead Hands-On Cooking Classes: Teach kids how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy, exciting recipes from around the world.
• Spark Creativity: Introduce kids to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging, interactive way.
• Stay Organized: Prepare for classes using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up fun, safe kitchen environments.
• Be the Face of Fun: Inspire and encourage kids as they gain confidence in the kitchen.
• Travel to different schools in your area to bring "the kitchen" to kids.
• Teach essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish.
• Foster creativity and confidence in children through cooking activities.
