About The Position
Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking enthusiastic part-time Chef Teachers to lead hands-on cooking classes for children aged 5-14 in the Phoenix area. These classes focus on introducing new ingredients, cooking techniques, nutrition, and global cultures, while fostering confidence in the kitchen. The company provides training, recipes, equipment, and support. Responsibilities include teaching one-hour classes, shopping for ingredients, preparing the classroom, and ensuring a safe and engaging experience for students.
Requirements
- Experience teaching or coaching kids.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Enjoy creating a fun learning environment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Have (or be willing to obtain) a ServSafe Food Handler Certificate.
- Have (or be willing to obtain) an Arizona Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Live or work within 15 minutes of the posted ZIP code.
- Undergo a fingerprint background check.
Responsibilities
- Teach fun, one-hour cooking classes for kids ages 5–14 using provided recipes and curriculum.
- Introduce new ingredients, cooking techniques, nutrition, and cultures from around the world.
- Build student confidence in the kitchen.
- Shop for class ingredients.
- Prepare the classroom for classes.
- Communicate with the Admin Team by phone and text.
- Help create a safe, engaging experience for every student.
