About The Position
School Food Service Management Company is seeking a Chef/Manager in the Reading, Pa area. This is a full-time position with a day shift, working 8 hours daily, Monday through Friday. There may be occasional nights for school board catering events. K-12 school food service experience is a plus. Must be familiar with high volume catering and able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools. Must have proven cooking experience.

- Must be proficient in various computer software (Google Docs, Microsoft, etc.).
Nice To Haves
- K-12 school food service experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with high volume catering.
- ServSafe ® certificate is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the function of the kitchen area.
- Creating menu ideas, while adhering to all NSLP guidelines.
- Preparing for Catering events.
- Ensuring all safety and cleanliness guidelines are practiced at all times.
- Ensuring personal protection equipment is used at all times.
- Food ordering and inventory.
- Staffing needs.
