About The Position

Yorkshire of Edina Senior Living, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a compassionate and passionate Chef/Cook to join their growing team. This role is responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. The community is a gorgeous 96-unit, apartment-style community providing Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care services, located in Edina off a bus route, between Southdale Mall and the YMCA.

Requirements

• Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.
• Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
• Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
• Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.
