About The Position

Westborn Market is a third-generation-owned and operated business with four locations across Metro Detroit. The company values quality goods, superior service, and strong relationships with customers and team members.

The Cheese Specialist cuts, prepares, and packages cheeses and accompaniments to maintain a plentiful selection for guests. The position is non-exempt and reports to the Store Directors.

Requirements

• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a large variety of cheeses and accompanying products.
• Maintain and fill the cheese section by cutting, packaging, weighing, and labeling products.
• Use cheese-related tools, including a cheese cutter and knives.
• Build displays using a variety of products to appropriately highlight cheeses.
• Provide exceptional customer service when selling products, taking orders, and answering guests’ questions.
• Demonstrate products when instructed.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and follow food-safety best practices.
• Follow Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by an authorized person.
