About The Position

This position combines checking and stocking and requires a candidate with flexible hours who is open to working in multiple departments. Training will be provided at the store level. The role includes serving customers at checkout, accurately processing purchases and payments, maintaining register records and cash security, and bagging orders. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Must be able to bend and stoop.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to work on their feet for the entire shift, which is 4–8 hours.

Nice To Haves

Flexible availability and willingness to work in multiple departments.
For store or facility teammates, a minimum of six months of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
For Store Support Center teammates, a minimum of one year of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
Internal candidates must be in good standing, not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline, and must have manager approval based on performance if invited for an interview.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
Greet customers before checking their orders.
Accurately check out customer purchases.
Identify produce items and properly use produce and product codes.
Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons and process manufacturer coupons.
Collect the correct amount due from customers.
Follow proper procedures for accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers, and other payment options.
Complete register records accurately.
Practice and maintain cash security.
Bag customer orders.
Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes.
Perform other duties assigned by store management.
