About The Position

This is a new seasonal position at Conagra's Imlay City, Michigan facility. There are two new positions available: one for the day shift and one for the afternoon shift. The hourly rate is $17.34/hour, with an additional afternoon shift premium of $0.25/hour if applicable. This is an immediate need, and you will receive training in the correct operation of the equipment. You will work onsite and report to supervision within a team environment.

Requirements

  • Proper operation of the Check Weigher.
  • Oversee and ensure that jars are filled properly.
  • Maintain calibration of the equipment.
  • Monitor jar weights, removing and repairing jars with that fall outside of the weight parameters as necessary.
  • Communicate to appropriate personnel.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.
  • Understand Vlasic policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Operate the Check Weigher equipment.
  • Monitor and react promptly to jar weights, communicating product that fails specification.
  • Remove or add produce to jars.
  • Adhere to OSHA required/company specific lockout tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ensure machine and surrounding area is kept neat and sanitary.
  • Adapt to changing situations and be able to establish priorities.
  • Communicate effectively and work closely with all functions.
  • Train employees as needed.
  • Complete all paperwork in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.
