About The Position

The Charge RN is a licensed Registered Nurse who plans and provides professional nursing services in accordance with the applicable standards of practice, the nurse’s level of experience and education, Iowa Board of Nursing requirements, and established policies and procedures. The RN applies clinical practice knowledge, science, leadership, and compassionate, ethical, respectful, relationship-centered care in delivering direct and indirect healthcare services. This position is on the Ortho Trauma unit, 5 North, and works a 12-hour day shift.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification for units with telemetry monitoring.
• Complete Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing services in accordance with standards of practice, applicable policies and procedures, and the RN’s level of experience and education.
