About The Position
We’re looking for a qualified Charge RN Registered Nurse to join our Texas Health family. This position is located at Texas Health Stephenville, a full-service, 98-bed hospital serving Erath and surrounding counties since 1926. The hospital offers surgical services, women’s and infants’ services, advanced diagnostic imaging, sleep lab and a wound care program. Texas Health Stephenville has received accreditation as a Level IV trauma center, Cycle III Chest Pain Center by Society of Chest Pain Centers and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. The hospital was named a Baby-Friendly Hospital by the World Health Organization and received Pathway to Excellence® designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Requirements
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting (Required)
- RN - Registered Nurse License Upon Hire (Required)
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required)
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- 2 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide charge nurse duties in the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), PreOp, and PostOp areas.
- Ensure a tight-knit nursing team and provide top-notch benefits.
- Maintain flexibility with the schedule, including PRN shifts, a minimum of 3 shifts per month, 1 weekend shift per month, and 1 major & 1 minor critical staffing/holiday shift per year on a rotating schedule.
- Work 9-hour shifts with variable hours/schedule and utilize self-scheduling.
