About The Position

Durango Outpatient Surgery Center is a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center committed to providing first-class surgical services to the local community in a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. The center features 5 operating rooms and offers a full range of surgical procedures including Bariatrics, Colorectal, General Surgery/Robotics, GI, OB/Gynecology, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, and Spine. The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp is responsible for ensuring continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continuous evaluation of their condition, while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and privacy. This role may involve assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques. The nurse will provide comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, encompassing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in preparation for discharge.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients
• Continually evaluate the patient's condition
• Provide patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times
• Assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
